Welcome to Cub Scout Pack 28 in Northborough, Massachusetts.

Northborough Pack 28 is chartered under the generosity of St Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Many of our Cub Scouts attend the Marion Zeh School but we also welcome scouts from other area public schools, private and parochial schools, and those boys who are home educated. Our Scout pack is a boy-centered organization and all boys are assigned to a den upon joining Scout Pack 28. The dens are small age-based units that meet a few times a month for fun activities, learning, and advancement exercises. Our Pack meetings are open to members and prospective Scouts and families and are held on the second Tuesday of every month (from September through June) at 6:45 PM in the cafeteria of Melican Middle School. Please feel free to contact the Cubmaster Peter Miotto (cubmaster@northborough28.mypack.us) with any questions. See the "Pack Leadership Roster" in the left menu for contact information on unit leaders.

Wear your Class B Pack 28 T-SHIRT to school on June 12 to show your Scout spirit

Posted on May 10 2012 - 3:22pm

Remember the Law of the Pack? "The Cub Scout follows Akela. The Cub Scout helps the pack go. The pack helps the Cub Scout grow. The Cub Scout gives goodwill." We need our Pack 28 Cubs to help GROW our pack by showing their Scout spirit on the day of the Annual Rocket Launch. Please wear your 2010-11 or 2011-12 Pack 28 t-shirt to school on Tuesday June 12 to show your pride in being a member of our Pack. If someone asks you about your shirt, explain the fun events we have as a pack and the things you do with friends in the den. Encourage them to come to a meeting as a guest or check out our website! Let your leaders know how this all worked out when you come launch your rockets that evening!

Pack 28 Annual Rocket Launch and Third Annual Family Barbecue/Potluck on for June 12th (5:45 PM) at Algonquin Fields

Posted on May 10 2012 - 3:22pm

We have been fortunate this spring to be given access to the large Algonquin athletic fields for our June Rocket Launch. The size of the field will accommodate the larger rockets which all the Scouts will be building this year and will avoid the possibility of losing the rockets in the woods! Hooray! More information will be provided at the May Pack Meeting so please listen to announcements and pick up the monthly newsletter. We will be taking RSVPs for the event and having signups for food and drink donations at the pack meeting. Barbecued meat will be provided by the Pack.

Annual Town Wide Cub Scout Fishing Derby on June 16th at Marlborough Fish and Game

Posted on May 7 2012 - 10:40am

Pack 55/58 has graciously invited our Cub Scouts again this year to their Fishing Derby to be held on the morning (8:30-11 tentatively) of Saturday, June 16th, at the Marlborough Fish and Game Club. Our boys have participated in the past and had a great time. It is a wonderful experience for both novice and experienced fishermen and the program is free for all Pack 28 Scouts. Although  Massachusetts Wildlife will be helping out by providing a handful of rods, the best idea would be for the boys to bring their own equipment (owned or borrowed) so they will not have to wait for a rod to free up. More information will follow but SAVE THE DATE!
